Frankie Niwot, Nutritionist/Health Coach
Frankie is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist through the Wellspring School for Healing Arts. Her nutrition training is based in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a whole foods approach to cooking and wellness. Frankie’s approach is rooted in the use of nutrient dense foods, lifestyle maintenance and the use of mindfulness techniques, which she draws from her work as a yoga instructor.
During her mid 20s, Frankie began a battle with two unrelated forms of cancer within one year. This experience stopped her in her tracks and demanded her attention. With an already strong foundation in small scale farming, her love of growing and cooking food grew during this time. She became enamored with the effects of diet and lifestyle on cellular function, regeneration and epi-genomics.
She began to explore the world of functional nutrition and discovered an approach to health care that was exciting, scientific and hopeful. Her healing process and work have each been deeply inspired by the ethics and approach of Functional Medicine. As a result, she implements a client centered, proactive, systems based practice that lays the foundation for a strong therapeutic partnership. She encourages curiosity and personal accountability with each client’s unique health journey, so that the changes made may be lasting and useful.
